Home Décor Natick Offers Sansin’s Low-VOC, High-Performance Wood Finishes to Homeowners & Contractors in Massachusetts

The Sansin Corporation, a global leader in environmentally friendly, high-performance wood protection, announced today that the newest Home Décor store located at 198 West Central St. in Natick now carries the full line of Sansin’s interior and exterior low-VOC wood finishes.

Natick homeowners and contractors are now able to protect and beautify their decks, docks, siding, outdoor furniture, cedar shakes and shingles, and marine brightwork with innovative, high-quality, eco-friendly coatings that are easy to apply and maintain.

This is the second Home Décor store to carry the Sansin product line. The local independent store also sells Sansin wood finishes through its Peabody location.

Jay Johannessen, Manager at Home Décor Natick, said the Sansin products check a number of boxes for Home Décor’s discriminating clientele. “The VOC restrictions are changing in the state, so carrying Sansin products helps us get ahead of that regulatory curve with a premium coating that is environmentally friendly without sacrificing quality,” said Johannessen.

He added that the Home Décor customers appreciate getting a product that is easy to use and isn’t available everywhere. “Our customers come to us for high-end products they can’t get at big box stores and our wood protection expertise,” Johannessen explained. “We just received a picture from a customer who refinished his deck with Sansin DEC, and he was really happy with how the product went on. We love to see that!”

Home Décor Natick carries Sansin’s full line of exterior (SDF, DEC, ENS, Classic 1-2-3) and interior (Purity Stain, Purity Glacier, Purity Clear, and Purity Floor) finishes. With onsite tinting available, contractors and DIY customers have a range of color options available to customize their wood projects.

“Home Décor has a reputation for offering only the best products and we are pleased to partner with them to help broaden the company’s clientele base in greater Boston,” said Sansin’s Director of Sales & Marketing Caroline March-Long. “Our finishes stand up particularly well to the moisture-rich marine environment of the area. Sansin’s penetrating formula protects not only the outside of the wood but also the inside by allowing the wood to ‘breathe’, preventing moisture from getting trapped inside,” March-Long described.

Sansin Finishes Create Gradient Effect for Award-Winning Building

June 2020 —–
First CLT Building

NATURALLY PERFECT® WOOD PROTECTION

The Fenix I is an iconic, historic building in the South Holland city of Rotterdam that recently underwent a major renovation to create 484,375-square feet of mixed-use space. Designed by architect C.N. van Goor to merge old and new, the immense building houses 212 new loft apartments which are clad with warm wooden facades out of Douglas Fir, facing a tranquil inner courtyard. The cladding is protected with Sansin Precision Coat SDF in a range of custom colors to create an ombre effect. To play off the varying levels of sunlight entering the courtyard, several custom formulas were developed from opaque white to transparent, creating a warm, gradient effect along the entire span of the wood façade from the bottom to the top of the inner courtyard. Sansin’s signature Precision Coat SDF wood protection and unique color system delivered the flexibility and performance needed to showcase this unique structure, while at the same time contributing to the sustainable nature of the overall project. Sansin’s European Partner, Leegwater Houtbereiding, worked with the designers to create just the right shading effect on the building.
