The Edelman Fossil Park and Museum of Rowan university is one of the largest net zero carbon emission public buildings in New Jersey. This project features beautiful west Dek GLT panels and glulam to maximize renewable resources. This project designed by Ennead Architects, KSS Architects and G&A is home to thousands of fossils across its 44,000 square feet. The building was designed using energy Petal Certification requirements of the Living Building Challenge as a foundation. This project also received the 2025 Green Good Design Award, awarded to projects with exceptional sustainable design.
Sansin KP-12 UVW was applied as a low-VOC low-luster protective coating. This product is a penetrating protective undercoat for timber, dimensional laminated lumber, and engineered wood components like CLT. KP-12 UVW combines long term UV protection with enhanced water repellency,
protecting wood against rot and weathering during construction.
Sansin KP-50 was used as the finish coat offering a tough durable finish. KP-50 can be applied to any surface and has the ability to improve the performance of other coatings. KP-50 is highly resistant to wear, doesn’t discolor over time and provides some of the best UV protection available.
