Some of the things to keep in mind, especially when creating a custom color, is that it can vary dramatically from one substrate to another. The same color, applied to pine, will look quite different if applied to poplar – not to mention that you can control the level of finish with the number of coats and and/or topcoats you apply. It’s best to send us samples of the substrate you plan on working with, along with details on the project and of course your location – depending on how much sun your project will be exposed to, for example, will dictate the kind of finish we recommend and in turn affect the formulation of the color.
