Business Development Manager – Rhode Island

Sansin is seeking a Business Development Manager with a passion for wood. The successful candidate will focus on servicing and growing our key existing accounts in addition to identifying and closing new business with independent retailers, finishers and OEMs.

We are looking for someone who has a consultative approach to help customers understand, appreciate and utilize a wide range of Sansin finishes to beautify and protect wood. Our customers need a knowledgeable, energetic and self-motivated individual that is reliable and organized in their work.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and closing on market opportunities within existing and new accounts to achieve revenue targets in a specified market area.

  • Achieve revenue and growth targets for assigned territory
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to capitalize on market opportunities in all segments
  • Through a consultative sales approach, ensure customers are well positioned and equipped to expand Sansin’s line across all categories
  • Increase brand awareness through continuous education and merchandising
  • Work closely with dealers to ensure full utilization of Sansin’s product line and optimal stocking of Sansin’s products
  • Ability to comprehend, use, and demonstrate Sansin’s products in a manner that is successful for the target audience
  • Develop properly branded capabilities presentations and targeted sales promotional materials to help develop a sales funnel and close business
  • Create and present professional and thorough client proposals and negotiations that land new business
  • Strong ability provide technical advice and support on coatings and product application
  • A keen sense of market competitors, regularly updating the company on matters of intertest that impact corporate success
  • Effectively target and develop architectural prospects to grow the number of specifications of Sansin for large and commercial projects
  • Ensure administration and meeting protocols are followed including advanced planning, agendas, timely and productive follow up as well as required tracking/documentation in CRM
  • Effectively utilize CRM for lead forecasting, budgeting and business planning for identified territories
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • In office position – Strathroy ON
  • Travel >25%
  • Education in any of the following or a combination; Wood Science, Wood Technology, Forestry, Wood joinery, Wood Finishing, past experience in the wood industry, a passion for wood
