In the Dutch development of De Plukhoeve, M3 Architects designed the homes to enhance the existing village ambiance through distinguished shapes and proportions. Each residence features a distinct main house, extension, and annex that are unified by a prominent sloping roof. To preserve the natural beauty of the Finnish spruce cladding, sourced through Sansin partner Leegwater, Sansin Precision Coat KP-30 was applied in RAL1011, RAL1019, RAL7021, RAL7022 and RAL8025 color. This choice underscores the project’s commitment to natural beauty and durability.

A shining example of a horse barn serves a distinct purpose while looking beautiful in Thurmont, Maryland. This barn is wrapped with porches on each side to create outdoor stalls. To help the exterior wood to stand up to the elements, the cypress wood and white pine are protected and beautified with two coats of Sansin SDF in Roasted Almond. The trim is accented with SDF cocoa for a striking contrast. “I trust Sansins products to give this barn longevity,” says Steven Fisher, owner of Conowingo Builders. “We wanted to apply a coating that is known for its durable performance, making Sansin my top choice. Whiteshell Provincial Park in Manitoba is a haven for boating enthusiasts who embrace lake life in picturesque cottage country. A beautiful boat deserves a beautiful port, and that’s just what Whiteshell Painting Co. accomplished with the help of Sansin. The pine ceiling and timbers are protected with Sansin’s SDF and ENS system in custom colors. Set on a rocky hill overlooking Hanalei Bay on Kaua‘i’s north shore, the luxurious 1 Hotel harmoniously connects guests with stunning natural surroundings. More than 30,000 square feet of indoor space was brought outdoors for this renovation, designed by Lake Flato Architects. Sansin partner Fraserwood provided the glulam and heavy timber for this beautiful hotel. Western Red Cedar and Alaskan Yellow Cedar are used throughout the project, offering a balanced indoor-outdoor natural environment. Two coats of Sansin SDF were used to protect and enhance the natural beauty of this oceanfront masterpiece.

Whiteshell Provincial Park is a four-season destination where nature sets the stage for adventure and relaxation. This private cabin combines modern functionality with a cozy atmosphere. The interior wood has been pre-finished by Whiteshell painting Co. The beautiful pine windows and trim have been coated in Sansin Purity 0-VOC Stain and two coats of Precision Coat Glacier – Satin. The timbers are finished with Precision Coat SDF and Precision Coat Glacier – Satin. This beautiful home, located in Michigan lake country and designed by Wheeler Kearns Architects, recently won the prestigious Wood Design & Building Sansin Award. This home features exposed glulam from Sansin partner Western Archrib and weathered gray Accoya siding inside and outside that harmonizes with the surrounding forest. The təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic and Community centre in New Westminster, BC, is a hub of community connection. Designed by HCMA Architecture + Design, it is Canada’s First Completed Zero Carbon Building – Design certified aquatic centre. Wood features prominently in the design, and all of the CLT and glulam elements are protected and beautified with a comprehensive system of Sansin coatings, including KP-12 and Precision Coat SDF in Sansin’s 2025 Color of the Year, Ivory 21 (formerly Washed White). The wood creates a warm and natural environment that stands in contrast to typically sterile aquatic environments. Sansin’s breathable, water-borne coatings enable the wood to breathe, absorbing and releasing humidity naturally.

This vacation home by Canadian custom home builder Smith Timber Works is located on a small lake in the Cariboo Region of British Columbia. The cozy home is designed for relaxation and reconnection and features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large open community space. A fully structural timber roof system, as well as a mix of structural and decorative timber elements on the exterior help the home blend into its natural surroundings. Smith Timber Works has been using Sansin exclusively on its projects for five years and appreciates the durability and beauty the coatings provide. For this project, Sansin is utilized on the interior and exterior of the home, including: the siding (SDF Roasted Almond), timbers (SDF Natural Cedar), tongue and groove (ENS clear), and stairs (SDF custom tint).

This beautiful home, designed by Patkau Architects, was recently awarded the coveted 2024 Wood Design & Building Sansin Award. Overlooking Cadboro Bay in Victoria, BC, the single-story home features a stunning ceiling arbour of finger-jointed western hemlock manufactured by Sansin partner Canadian Bavarian. The KP-12 UVW and SDF Topcoat specifications designed for this project provide the proper level of protection for the wood, while meeting the designs aesthetic requirements.

This gorgeous log home, designed and built by Sansin partner Davidson Log & Timber Artisans, is located in Washago, Ontario, the gateway to cottage country. The home is constructed of premium eastern white pine logs that were treated with Sansin’s Timber-Tec protective wood formula. The logs were then finished with Sansin’s WoodForce in a dark Thunder color to create a weathered look and even out the imperfections on the logs. The exterior trim is accented in a beautiful Sage Green SDF formula, and the Timber-Tec Chinking pops in a lighter Limestone shade. Inside, Sansin Purity Glacier in a soothing Pretzel color protects the timbers and millwork. “We are all happy with how it turned out; it really looks great,” said Matt Davidson, owner of Davidson Log & Timber Artisans. “We are big fans of your product and love how the grain still pops!”
