The Sansin Corporation is seeking an associate woodworker to add to our team in Strathroy. The ideal candidate must be reliable, eager to learn and comfortable performing repetitive tasks like sanding, cutting and brushing-out liquid samples.

Job Duties:

  • Fabricate, build, and assemble wood products according to design plans
  • Dip, brush, or spray assembled articles with protective coatings
  • Understand projects to be completed and plan the sequence of cutting, shaping and finishing requirements
  • Sanding of wood used for displays, boards, etc.
  • Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools to cut, shape, and finish wood pieces
  • Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Perform maintenance and cleaning of all tools and woodshop area
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects within specified timelines
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Detail oriented with the ability to follow instructions
  • Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and tools
  • Experience with saws is a must
  • Attention to detail and precision in measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood pieces
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with team members on project requirements
  • Timber Frame joinery experience an asset
  • Reliable form of transportation to get to and from work
  • Willing to travel

Sansin is looking for a Business Development Manager with a Forestry or Wood Science Engineering degree with a passion for wood who wants to be part of a growing company. The candidate should be entrepreneurial, energetic and driven to succeed in a fast paced, high growth company.

The Business Development Manager will focus on serving and growing our key existing accounts and identifying and closing new business with independent retailers, finishers and OEMs. We are looking for someone who has a consultative approach to help customers understand, appreciate and utilize a range of Sansin finishes to beautify and protect wood.

The range of responsibilities include outside sales, customer service, product training and promotions, problem resolution, special events/conferences, and strategic planning for customer and prospect visits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To achieve revenue and growth targets for Sansin’s retailer and industrial businesses through a consultative sales approach that solves clients’ business growth issues while expanding Sansin’s line within existing stores to increase unit sales through store
  • Increase brand awareness through continuous education and merchandising.
  • Through proactive contact with existing and potential clients, generate new revenue and regularly interface with retail, industrial and architectural customers to ensure growth on track.
  • Develop dealer capabilities presentations and targeted sales promotional materials to help team develop sales funnel and close business.
  • Collaborate closely with sales representatives and Sansin Care team to identify and target opportunities.
  • Create and present creative client proposals that result in conversion of sales leads.
  • Contribute to retail and architectural account planning strategy.
  • Seek ‘starburst’ opportunities within existing customers to grow revenue.
  • As part of the sales process, gather market and client intelligence and provide strategic feedback to management team.
  • Contribute to regular forecasting, budgeting and business planning processes

Essential Experience

  • A successful track record in identifying and closing new business opportunities, or the aptitude and motivation to develop and refine consultative selling skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with proven ability to analyze and translate data into key insights and recommendations.
  • Proactive and well organized with a sense of urgency.
  • Comfortable working both independently and within a team environment.
  • Collaborative and consultative – able to develop positive relationships at all levels of client companies and within sales and marketing teams.
  • Bilingual (French/English) considered an asset.

The Sales Specialist will focus on serving and growing our key existing accounts and identifying and closing new business with independent retailers across the US. Cleaner

We are currently seeking an experienced and professional cleaner / custodian to clean our new production facility and office space in West Warwick, RI.  The ideal candidate will have previous experience cleaning in a manufacturing and office environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a thoroughly clean office and factory area
  • Mop tile and concrete floor areas, use machine where required
  • Vacuum all carpeted areas
  • Dust all furniture and fixtures as required
  • Wash and disinfect all washroom floors, toilets, toilet seats, fixtures, and mirrors
  • Replenish toilet tissue and soap as needed
  • Empty all waste baskets and garbage cans and place garbage in outside storage bin
  • Clean entrance and exit including glass, doors and hardware
  • Wash all finger marks from walls, doors, hardware and glass
  • Clean kitchen sinks and counters
  • Maintain cleaning inventory and notify purchasing for additional supplies
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
  • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience cleaning office and manufacturing environments
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work

  • Support in the preparation and execution of customer trainign and store meetings
  • Serving and growing our existing accounts
  • Coach and motivate Dealer Staff to meet sales goals

Qualifications

  • Ability to work 40 hours a week to reach sales targets with potential travel involved

  • Build daily orders through attaining, formulating and packing
  • Pack goods for shipments
  • Prepare product samples
  • Adhere to and implement quality control standards
  • Maintain inventory control
  • Help improve and implement policies and procedures to help maintain a healthy work environment
  • Maintain and improve on production practices and safety requirements
  • Label finished goods containers
  • Operate piment machines
  • Assist with other production requirements and other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Highschool Diploma or GED

Shipper | Receiver

Job Duties:

  • Confirm, record and distribute incoming shipments
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Report damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record keeping purposes
  • Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking
  • Create a daily shipment schedule
  • Weigh and measure items
  • Organize daily flow, prepare and schedule items for shipments
  • Schedule daily transportation needs with different carriers/couriers minimizing cost
  • Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required
  • Ensure that shipments contain proper documentation for shipments and customs for both North American and International shipments
  • Problem solve any cases of missing documents, shipments and deliveries

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2-3 years shipping and receiving experience preferably in a manufacturing setting
  • Reliable form of transportation to and from work
  • Knowledge of filling out waybills and bills of lading and international shipments.
  • Online shipping, tracking and receiving experience utilizing FedEx, UPS, Purolator and DHL and other carriers.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment including forklift.
  • Computer literacy, including working skills of Excel and e-mail.
